Things We Love: Turquoise

Turquoise jewelry has been a personal favorite of mine since I was a child. I grew up in Durango, Colorado and had the pleasure of seeing an abundance of beautiful art made by Native Americans and other jewelry artists in the area. Turquoise is a rare gem that is mined mostly in the Southwest here in the United States. Turquoise can be found in various parts of the world, however. Turquoise can be a range of colors from bright blue to a yellow green, but my personal favorite is when they are seafoam green in color.

Luckily for all of us frockers, I have some AMAZING turquoise jewelry up on the site. Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces, and a pendant that you can put on anything you darn well please. Shop accessories here:

I would like to note in semi-relation to this post: the accidental EPA Gold King Mine spill into the Animas River is a disastrous problem for so many people including business owners that rely on the river during summer months, farmers that rely on the river for irrigation, residents who rely on it from their wells for bathing and cooking, and the economic and spiritual impact it has on the Navajo Nation. There is not much we can do at this point, but I would suggest you go take a trip to Durango and spend your dollars with the businesses there if you can. If you can't, please send your good thoughts their way. I know they would all appreciate it.
